Welcome to bergolo!
The Youth Exchange will happen in Bergolo, a village of 50 inhabitants located on the hills of south Piedmont, in Italy. The village doesn’t have shops and it is the ideal place for disconnecting, dive in nature and stay together as a group without external distractions.
Bergolo has a long tradition of music, art & cultural festivals. It is a peaceful destination for nature and outdoor activities lovers.

In order to implement the COVID-19 safety measures, the activities will be implemented using the following facilities:
1) main activity room: 16x6 meters outdoor gazebo:
2) 14m diameter star tent:
3) a wide theatre
4) many outdoor environments that can be set and used according to the needs of the facilitators
Participants will be accommodated in L'Alveare hostel (meaning "The Hive"); it comprises a dining area; bedrooms with 2 - 4 beds; bathrooms shared by 2-4 people; a kitchen for groups and a large terrace overlooking the hills. Three meals per day and coffee breaks will be arranged during the program in the accommodation.
If you prefer, you can choose to be accommodated alone in a tent in the camping which is 300 meters far from the hostel, we can provide you camping mattress, sleeping bag and pillow. The camping has 6 toilets and 6 showers.
As a group, we will be responsible for the caring and cleaning of the spaces that we will be using, to keep a functional and harmonious environment.
Participants will take part in simple house duties to make the whole accommodation system work (preparing coffee breaks, arranging and cleaning the dining area, cleaning the common spaces and their own rooms etc.) this will happen in small groups with a duties rotation system. It is an educational choice: we believe that it is relevant to learn to take care of our own needs as a group. In case you are searching for an experience where somebody else is cleaning for you or serving you, this Youth Exchange is not suitable for you.
In order to reduce the number of people in the sleeping room (requirement of the covid safety regulations), 6-10 people need to be accommodated in individual tents, in the camping area of Bergolo, which is 300 meters far from the hostel and in front of the Activity Room. We can provide you with a tent, sleeping bag, pillow and mattress, we can keep safe your precious belongings, in case you need it. The camping has 6 toilets and 6 showers.
